Onion Pakoda is an easy and a filling snack . It could be made in 15 minutes . Is is one of the quickest snack that could be made .
|Onion Pakodas / Vengaya Pakoda / Onion Pakora / வெங்காய பகோடா|
- Onion – 2 no , ( shredded length wise )
- Gram Flour ( Besan flour / Kadalai Mavu ) - 1 cup
- Rice flour - 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- asafoetida ( hing ) - 1/4 tsp
- oil – to fry
- Salt – to taste
In bowl mix the rice flour , besan flour , salt , chilli powder and hing.Add the shredded onions to it and mix well.
Sprinkle little water if required. The mixture should be sticky and thick .
Heat oil , and drop the pakodas in oil and deep fry till they turn golden brown in color.
Serve hot .
This goes well as a perfect snack for the evening with a cup Tea .
