MoongDal Pumpkin curry / Yellow Pumpkin curry

Ingredients:
Moong dal-1 cup
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Hing-1 pinch
Oil-2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1 tsp
Urad dal-1 tsp
Methi seeds-1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-1 spring
coriander leaves
Onions-1 chopped
Tomatoes-1, chopped
Pumpkin -chopped in squares
Sambhar powder-2 tsp
Red chilli-2 nos slit
Salt-to taste

Preparation:
In a pressure cooker, add the moong dal,some water,turmeric powder, hing, sambar powder,onions ,tomatoes and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
In a kadai, heat oil, add mustard seeds, urad dal, methi seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies,curry leaves and coriander leaves and allow it to splutter.
Now add the chopped pumpkin and let it cook till it becomes soft
Transfer these contents to the cooked moong dal and mix well.Allow it to cook for another 5 mts.
Check for salt
Garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot with rice,idly, dosai, ven pongal.
