| Lemon Rasam / Lemon Soup |
Ingredients:
Tomato - 1 no ,Chopped
Garlic - 2 pods
Red chilli - 1
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
pepper corns - 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1/2 Cup Concentrated
Water
Salt-As per taste
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Tempering:
Oil-2 tsp
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Methi seeds-1/4 tsp
Red chilli-1 no
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Preparation:
In a bowl mix the concentrated lemon juice and water .The water can be adjusted according to the sourness.
In a mixer , add garlic,red chili, cumin seeds, pepper corn and tomato and make a fine paste.
Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds , methi
seeds, slit red chilli , coriander and curry leaves , Turmeric powder and stir.
Add
the ground paste from the mixer and allow it to cook till the raw smell
goes away.
Now add the lemon juice to the kadai and allow it to cook in medium flame.Do not stir after this.
Turn off once the bubbles are formed on the surface.
Garnish with coriander leaves.Add salt.
