Potato Cauliflower Masala / Aloo Gobi  Masala

Potato - 2 nos , Skin Peeled and chopped
Cauliflower -  1 no , Cut in to florets
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 no , Chopped
Tomato - 1 no , Chopped
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Oil - 2 tsp
salt - to taste


Heat oil , Add the mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
Now add the urad dhal and fry till they turn golden brown in colour.
Add the chopped onions, cook till they turn translucent
Next add Tomatoes and cook till they are mushy.
Add the chopped Potatoes and cauliflower, salt,  Chilli powder , Coriander powder and turmeric powder and little water and cover with the lid.
Cook till the potatoes and cauliflower turn soft.
To make it dry, Simmer it in low flame and cook till the oil separates out from the masala .
Serve hot with rice , and Roti
