Garbanzo beans - 1 tin (437 gms) , Boiled
Onion - 1 no
Green Chilli - 2 no , slit
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
If using a dried garbanzo beans , Soak it over night and pressure cook it for only 1 whistle or boil in microwave oven for 10 -15 minutes , till the beans become soft and tender . set aside . I used i tin ( 437 gm ) of boiled Garbanzo bean for this recipe . This is available in all the grocery stores in US .
In a microwave safe bowl , add the oil and microwave for 1 minute . Add the mustard seeds , urad dhal , slit green chilli and microwave for 1 minute .
Now add the onions and microwave for 2 minutes.
Now add the boiled Chickpeas and microwave for 5 minutes .
Serve hot as a evening snack with a cup of tea .
This is one of the quickest and a healthy snack for my kids that i make quite often .
