|Spicy Paniyaram Recipe / Kuzhi Paniyaram / Spicy Pancake|
This Spicy Paniyaram is a easy Indian breakfast served with chutney, one of my elder daughters favorite food. To make this paniyaram we will need a paniyaram chatti / aebleskiver pan . I did not have this pan here , so i substituted this pan with the famous baby cakes pop maker . Believe me this came as wonderful as we get in our traditional paniyaram chatti .The baby cakes pop maker is non sticky and does not require oil so it is even more healthy.
Dosa Batter - 2 cups
Onion - 1 no , chopped
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad dhal - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Green Chilli - 1 no , chopped
Take 2 cups of Dosa batter in a bowl.
In a shallow pan , add a tea spoon of oil , add the mustard seeds and allow it to pop . Add the urad dhal , cumin seeds and fry in oil . Add the onions and green chilli and cook till they become translucent .
Preheat the baby cake pop maker .
Transfer the fried onion to the batter and mix well .
Drop the batter in the pop maker . Close the lid and cook till it turns golden brown in color.
Flip the pops to the other side and cook in a similar way.Serve hot with chutney
