|GREEN CHUTNEY RECIPE | CORIANDER CHUTNEY | KOTHAMALLI CHUTNEY ( CILANTRO )|

- Cilantro / Coriander leaves / Kothamalli - 1 bunch , Cleaned and chopped
- Urad Dhal - 1 tablespoon
- Green Chilli - 2 number
- Garlic pods - 2 numbers
- Tamarind pulp - a Very small piece .
- Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Grated Coconut - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chilli - 1 number , split
- Urad dhal - 1/2 teaspoon
Heat oil in a wok , add the urad dhal and fry till it turns golden brown in color . Now add the green chilli , garlic pods , tamarind pulp , and fry for few minutes .
Now add the Cilantro leaves .
Cook till the leaves become soft . Turn off and allow the contents to cool a bit
Transfer the contents to a mixer , add the grated coconuts, salt and run in to a paste by adding little water .
Add some oil in a pan , add the mustard seeds and allow it to pop , add the urad dhal and red chilli and fry them for few seconds.
Transfer these contents to the pureed coriander and serve . I like to a have a watery chuteney so i added some water . Green Chutney is ready to serve .
