| Yam stir fry / Suran fry / senaikilangu varuval |
Ingredients:
Yam / Suran / senaikilangu -250 gms, chopped in to small cubes.
Onion-1 med size chopped
Sambar powder-1 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 pinch
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1 ts
pOil-4 tsp
Salt-to taste
Preparation:
In a kadai, heat oil add mustard and urad dal and allow it to splutter
Now add onions and stir and cook till it becomes soft.
Add Chopped yam , turmeric and sambar powder, salt and allow it to dry roast in oil till it turns golden brown in color.
Serve hot with rice and rasam.
